Friday, May 23rd, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

A Tropical Storm possible already?  More in a bit.

First though we will have unsettled weather through tomorrow with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially tomorrow afternoon.  Highs today will be in the mid to upper 60’s and the upper 60’s to low 70’s tomorrow.

Things should then start to clear out on Sunday, making for a beautiful Memorial Day.  The high on Sunday will be around 70, and around 80 on Monday.

Tuesday a cold front will approach our area, bringing with it a chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high again around 80.

Wednesday through Saturday should then be very nice with cool temperatures on Wednesday with highs only in the low to mid 70’s, gradually rising to the low to mid 80’s by Saturday.

Next Sunday will continue to be quite warm, with highs in the mid 80’s, as warm air surges north into our area ahead of a cold front.  The cold front will however bring us a chance of a shower or thunderstorms.

Next Monday should then be quite nice, but cooler behind the cold front with a high in the low 70’s.

Next Tuesday through Thursday there is a chance of a tropical system developing in the Caribbean and moving northward along the East Coast.  This would bring us a chance of showers and thunderstorms next Tuesday through Thursday, with cool temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday as we would be getting an East wind off the still cool ocean.  We shall see.
