Friday, May 9th, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

We are going to have a lot of ugly weather over the next 2 weeks, although luckily our nicest day will be Mother’s Day when it should be absolutely beautiful.

First though, we will have a chance of showers today and tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 60’s today, rising to the mid to upper 70’s tomorrow.

Mother’s Day should be gorgeous with highs in the mid to upper 70’s.

Monday and Tuesday should then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm both days and it will be warm with highs around 80 both days.

Originally it had looked as if we could hit 90 on Tuesday, then it looked like it might be in the 60’s, now we end up between the two.  However, a 50 mile shift in any direction with a back door cold front  (click here for a definition) just to our north would change the forecast anywhere from a high in the 60’s to a high in the 80’s to near 90, so check back for updates.

Then Wednesday through the following Wednesday we will have a chance of showers every day as a slow moving storm may form along the East Coast  and stick around through Sunday or Monday, then another storm may move through for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Highs through the period should be from the mid 50’s to the upper 60’s.
