Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

Today there was a large weather and temperature difference between Northeastern New Jersey and Northwestern New Jersey as the low clouds never moved out of Northeastern section, keeping it cloudy, grey, and cool, with high temperatures only in the low 60's, while Northwestern sections saw some sun this afternoon and evening with highs in the low 70's.

We will continue to have a chance of a shower or thunderstorm through Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 60's each day, as the cold front will stall out and a weak area of low pressure will develop along the front and remain nearly stationery.

Luckily things will clear out and warm up just in time for Memorial Day with a high in the low 80's.

Tuesday there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front passes through our area, with a high in the upper 70's.

Wednesday through Saturday should then be nice with highs in the mid to upper 70's on Wednesday and Thursday, rising to the low 80's next Friday and the mid 80's next Saturday.

Sunday we will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front approaches our area, with highs in the mid to upper 70's.

Next Monday and Tuesday should then be nice with highs in the mid 70's.

Next Wednesday and Thursday there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front approaches us and stalls out, as there is a chance of a tropical storm forming in the Caribbean and moving north along the East Coast.  If this does occur, it would keep temperatures cool next Wednesday and Thursday with an on-shore flow off the much cooler ocean, potentially keeping highs from the mid 50's to the low 60's.  If this really happens of course.  We shall see.
