Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

We will have one more day of warm weather today although showers and thunderstorms are likely to move in to the area by late this afternoon.  The high will be in the low 80’s.

Tomorrow through Friday will be quite a bit cooler, as we will get an easterly flow off the ocean, much as we had last week.  This will keep things damp and cool with highs in the mid to upper 60’s tomorrow, around 60 on Thursday, and in the upper 60’s on Friday. 

Saturday and Sunday we will start to get a westerly wind again, allowing temperatures to warm to the low 70’s on Saturday and the mid 70’s on Sunday.  There will however be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm on Saturday.

Next Monday it will get quite warm again, as warm air will surge north into our area ahead of the next cold front.  The high on Monday should be in the low 80’s.

Next Tuesday it should clear out, but cool down a bit behind the cold front with a high in the mid 70’s.  There will be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm.

Here we go again with the cool and damp easterly wind off the ocean, dropping temperatures next Wednesday and Thursday.  The highs next Wednesday and Thursday may only be around 60 with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially on Wednesday.

Winds should shift back to the west next Friday and Saturday, allowing temperatures to rise to the low to mid 70’s, although there will still be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm.

Next Sunday we will have to watch and see if a tropical system develops in the Caribbean Sea and moves up the East Coast.  If it does it would bring us heavy showers and thunderstorms next Sunday.
