Friday, September 5, 2014 - Weather Discussion

Still warm today and tomorrow, but the cooler air is on the way for next week, and it will be ever cooler the following week…

It will be quite warm today with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm this afternoon and highs will be in the mid to upper 80’s.

Tomorrow a cold front will approach our area, bringing with it a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.  The high will again be in the mid to upper 80’s tomorrow.

Sunday should then be mostly sunny behind the cold front with highs in the mid 70’s.

Monday through Thursday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day as the cold front that passed through on Saturday night will stall out just to our south and some low pressure areas will ride along it.  If this front remains just far enough south of our area we could remain dry all of these days and if it doesn’t we could have showers all of these days.  We will have to wait and see.  Anyway, the front should push south of our area by next Friday, allowing things to finally clear out.

Next Friday through Monday should be mostly sunny with high temperatures gradually falling from the low 80’s next Friday to the mid 60’s by next Monday.  The lows could reach the mid to upper 40’s by next Monday.

Next Tuesday another cold front will approach, bringing a chance of a shower or thunderstorm and a high in the mid to upper 60’s.

Next Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny and quite cool with highs in the low to mid 60’s and lows possibly dropping to the low to mid 40’s.
