A cold front moved through last night, bringing with it heavy
showers and thunderstorms in our area last evening. One of these storms that moved through
Southern Warren County, Northern Hunterdon County, Morris County, and then into Northeastern New Jersey appeared to have some rotation within it, but I have not yet
seen any reports of a tornado. Anyway,
this cold front has brought much cooler weather to our area for today and this
week, and it will be even cooler next week.
It will be mostly sunny today and tomorrow with highs in the
mid to upper 70’s.
Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a
shower or thunderstorm and highs will be in the low 70’s.
Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a high in the mid to
upper 70’s.
Thursday a cold front will approach, bringing a chance for
showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, but it will be warmer
as warm air surges north into our area ahead of the front, with highs around
80.
Friday through next Monday should then be mostly sunny with
highs ranging from the upper 60’s to the mid 70’s and lows dropping to the mid
to upper 40’s next Sunday and Monday.
Next Tuesday another cold front will approach, again
bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms and warmer weather as warm air
surges north into our area ahead of the front.
The highs next Tuesday should be in the upper 70’s.
Next Wednesday and Thursday should then be mostly sunny and
much cooler behind the front with lows dropping to the low to mid 40’s and
highs in the mid to upper 60’s.
Next Friday and Saturday there will be a chance of some
showers and thunderstorms with highs in the low 70’s.
