A cold front moved through overnight and today will be quite
cool with highs only around 50.
Tonight there will be a good chance of a freeze in many of
the colder valleys of Northern New Jersey as lows could very well drop below
freezing as the cold air settles into the deeper valleys. Areas closer to the city and in the higher
elevations may stay just above freezing, but there will likely be a frost
nearly everywhere early tomorrow morning.
Late tomorrow night some showers will start to move into the
area as a storm system will start to approach the coast from the west. The high tomorrow should be in the mid 50’s.
Tuesday a Nor’easter will start to slowly develop along the
Middle Atlantic Coast, bringing us some showers from Tuesday through Friday
morning and gradually falling temperatures.
High temperatures will drop from around 60 on Tuesday to the low 50’s on
Wednesday and finally the upper 40’s on Thursday.
Friday morning the showers will finally come to an end and
things will clear out, allowing temperatures to warm to around 60.
Saturday should then be quite nice and the warmest day of
the next 2 weeks with highs rising to the mid 60’s.
A cold front will come through on Saturday night, although
it should be a dry front.
Next weekend there is a chance of a Tropical disturbance
moving out of the Caribbean Sea and into the Gulf of Mexico. If this occurs it could develop into a
Tropical Storm in the Northeastern Gulf of Mexico. It is too early to tell if this will really
occur and what would eventually happen with this storm if this did happen. Early indications are that it would likely
sit around there for a few days and then eventually fall apart. We will however
need to keep a close eye on this potential.
Next Sunday through Tuesday should then be nice but cool
with high temperatures in the low to mid 50’s and lows dropping to around
freezing next Monday and Tuesday.
Next Wednesday there will be a chance of some showers in the
morning as a cold front passes through.
Temperatures will be a bit warmer next Wednesday as warm air moves north
into our area ahead of the front with highs in the upper 50’s.
Next Thursday and Friday should then be nice behind the
front, but quite cool with highs only in the upper 40’s next Thursday, rising
to the mid 50’s next Friday, and lows dropping to around 30 next Friday
morning.
Next Saturday there will be a chance of showers as another
cold front approaches, with highs in the upper 50’s ahead of the front.
Looking a bit further, just beyond the 14 day period, there
are indications that the cold front that moves through next Saturday night (2
weeks from now) may be quite strong and allow very cold winter-like air to flow
into our area for the few days after it passes.
There is also a chance of some moisture moving its way into our area
behind the front. If that were to occur
there is a small chance of some winter-like precipitation for the time period
between Sunday November 2nd and Thursday November 6th. Stay tuned…
