Thursday, October 16, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

Look out Bermuda!  A strong hurricane is headed toward Bermuda and will likely make a direct hit on the island tomorrow night, then continue north before threatening New Brunswick Canada on Sunday morning.

Out first freeze of the season is likely on Monday morning in many parts of Northern New Jersey.

The heavy rain will come to an end this morning, and then things will clear out with a high in the mid to upper 60’s.

Tomorrow and Saturday should then be nice with just a slight chance of a shower and highs in the upper 60’s tomorrow and the mid 60’s on Saturday.

A cold front will then drop down from Canada on Saturday night, bringing us a slight chance of a shower on Sunday morning and chilly weather for Sunday and Monday with highs only around 50 on Sunday and in the mid 50’s on Monday, with another slight chance of a shower on Monday night.

On Tuesday a Nor’easter will start to develop along the coast, bringing us a chance for rain on Tuesday and highs around 60.

The Nor’easter will likely become large, but not very strong, leaving us with a slight chance of a shower Wednesday through Friday.  It will also be quite cool as cold air flows down from Canada behind the storm.  Highs will likely be in the mid 50’s on Wednesday, only the upper 40’s next Thursday, and the low to mid 50’s next Friday.

Next Saturday the big storm will finally start to leave the area, allowing for highs to reach the low 60’s.

Next Sunday through Tuesday another Nor’easter may develop along the coast, bringing us a chance for rain and highs in the upper 50’s next Sunday, the upper 40’s next Monday, and the mid 40’s next Tuesday.

Next Wednesday the storm may finally depart, but cold air will come down from Canada behind the storm, allowing for high temperatures only in the mid 40’s.
