Wednesday, October 15, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

It looks as if we are going to dodge a couple of bullets over the next two weeks as a Category 2/3 hurricane will hit Bermuda over the next couple of days but will then head due north toward Nova Scotia.  Then next week a Nor’easter will form, but it looks as if this storm will develop further to the north, possibly only affecting Maine.  Stay tuned just in case, but right now we look safe.

We will have some warm weather today with a chance of a shower this morning, then showers and thunderstorms will be likely this afternoon and tonight.  The high today will be in the low to mid 70’s.

It will then be cooler tomorrow behind the cold front but there will still be a chance for a shower and it will be cool with highs only in the low 60’s.

Friday and Saturday will then be nice with highs in the mid to upper 60’s.

Sunday and Monday will remain nice but it will be much colder as a cold front will slip through on Saturday night.  The highs will likely only be around 50 on Sunday, even with lots of sun, and then will drop to below freezing on Monday morning in many locations with lows in the low to mid 30’s, only rising to the mid 50’s on Monday.

On Tuesday, a Nor’easter will likely start to develop off shore, but it will likely develop far enough to the north to only give us a chance of a shower with highs in the mid to upper 50’s.

Next Wednesday through Sunday should then be mostly sunny and cool with highs ranging from the mid 50’s to the low 60’s.

Next Monday clouds may increase as a storm system approaches, bringing us a chance for rain next Tuesday.  The highs will be around 60 on Monday and in the upper 50’s next Tuesday.
