Wednesday, October 8, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

New Jersey in October…  The volatile change of seasons is underway.

We had some thunderstorms late last night and early this morning, however it will clear out today and remain warm with highs in the upper 60’s.

It will be much cooler tomorrow through Sunday with highs in the low to mid 60’s tomorrow and Friday, and only in the mid to upper 50’s for the weekend with a chance of shower on Saturday morning and again on Sunday as a warm front approaches.

Tuesday will then be MUCH warmer with highs in the mid 70’s as warm air surges into our area ahead of an approaching cold front.

On Wednesday a low pressure area may form along the front in our area, bringing with it a chance for some heavy rain and highs around 70.

Next Thursday may remain unsettled with a chance of showers as an upper level low pressure system moves through our area behind the cold front, bringing MUCH colder air with highs only in the low to mid 50’s.  In fact, in the Catskill Mountains of New York State there will be a chance of some snow showers next Thursday morning.

Next Friday and Saturday should be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 60’s.

Next Sunday and Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower and highs in the low to mid 60’s, with next Monday sandwiched between with mostly sunny skies and highs only in the low to mid 50’s.
