An active weather pattern is on the way, but we may luck out
again next weekend…
It will be very nice but quite cool today with highs in the low
to mid 50’s.
Tomorrow and Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a slight
chance of a shower in the morning both days as a warm front will move through
our area tomorrow morning and a cold front will approach on Wednesday morning. It will be warmer after the warm front passes
tomorrow morning with highs reaching around 60 on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Next Thursday a storm will develop along the front, right
over us, bringing us rain on Thursday into Friday morning, possibly heavy at
times on Thursday afternoon and night before tapering to showers on Friday
morning. There will still be a chance of
a lingering shower into Friday afternoon, and then as the colder air starts to
move in behind the storm there will be a slight chance of snow shower on Friday
night. The high on Friday will be around
50.
It should then be nice but cold on Saturday with a high in
the mid 40’s.
Sunday should be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower
as two pieces of energy that could form a strong Nor’easter along the coast on
Sunday may fail to come together. The
high will be around 50.
Next Monday should be nice with a high again around 50.
Next Tuesday will be warmer as warm air once again surges
north into our area ahead of an approaching cold front. The high should be around 60 next Tuesday. There will be a chance of a shower at night.
Then winter-like weather may arrive for a bit as a strong
cold front will come through next Wednesday morning with a chance of a rain or
snow shower in the morning, then it will clear out but will remain cold next
Wednesday with highs only around 40.
Next Thursday will be variably cloudy and quite cold with a
slight chance of a snow shower. The low
will be in the mid to upper 20’s and the highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s.
Next Friday will be mostly sunny but cold with lows in the low
to mid 20’s and highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Next Saturday there will be increasing cloudiness with a
chance of rain or snow at night. The
lows next Saturday morning will be in the low to mid 20’s and the highs will be
in the low 40’s.
Next Sunday there will be a chance of rain or snow, possibly
heavy at times with lows in the mid to upper 20’s and highs in the mid to upper
30’s. This is the storm that interests
me greatly as it could involve a storm developing in the Southern Jet Stream in
the Gulf of Mexico and merging with a storm over the Southeastern United
States, dropping down from the Northern Jet Stream. If these two storms merge they could then become
a powerful Nor’easter and likely affect our area with heavy precipitation. There may also be some very cold air over our
area or just to our north. We will have
to wait and see how all this works out.
