A frontal system will be situated near us all this week and
it will wiggle and waggle back and forth through our area bringing changeable
weather.
Tomorrow will be quite warm with highs reaching the low to
mid 50’s as the front moves north of us as a warm front. Then it will start moving to the south of us
late in the day tomorrow bringing us a chance of a shower tomorrow afternoon
and evening and cooler weather for Tuesday.
Then on Tuesday the front will start moving back north as a
warm front again, bringing us a chance for light snow to develop around 2 pm
and continuing until around 9-10 pm when it will change to light rain as the
warm air moves in and takes over. There
could be as much as a dusting to an inch of accumulation on Tuesday afternoon
and evening in Northeastern New Jersey and a dusting to an inch or two in
Northwestern New Jersey. The highs on
Tuesday will occur late at night with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Then Wednesday will be warmer with a chance of showers and
highs in the mid 40’s.
Early Thursday morning the front will move south of us again
as a cold front, bringing us highs in the upper 30’s to low 40’s on Thursday.
Friday afternoon there will be another chance of light snow
developing as the front will once again move north as a warm front. The light snow could continue into early
Saturday morning before likely becoming rain as the front moves north of us.
Saturday and Sunday a coastal storm may form and come close
enough to us to bring us some rain or possibly snow for the weekend, but we
will have to wait and see. It is
possible this storm could be far enough away from us to give us a nice
weekend. Only time will tell.
Then I continue to think that we will see two more coastal
storms after that, one for the middle of next week and one for next
Sunday. The one for the middle of next
week is starting to look like more of a snow threat as it appears some cold air
may be in place at that time. We shall
see.
