Well, the warm weather is gone. Here comes the snow, well a little anyway,
for now…
First though, clouds will increase today with light rain
developing this evening and changing to light snow by around 10 pm to midnight
and continuing through the night.
Tomorrow morning the light snow will end and there could be
a dusting of accumulation in some locations and possibly as much as an inch in
the highest elevations. The lows
tomorrow morning will be in the low 30’s, so watch for icy patches on the roads
and the highs tomorrow will be around 40.
Saturday will be nice but cold with highs in the mid to upper
30’s.
Sunday will be
variably cloudy with increasing cloudiness late in the day and light rain or
light snow developing in the evening and continuing through the night. The highs will be around 40.
The light rain or light snow will become heavier during the
afternoon on Monday and will continue into the night. It is possible that any rain could change to
snow on Monday night before ending but it is still too early to tell.
The exact track will still determine whether this storm is
rain or snow. There was a shift further
off shore with this storm over night which could lead to more snow in our
area. It is really still too close to
call. Be sure to check back for updates.
The rain or snow should come to an end either late on Monday
night or early on Tuesday morning, then it will get quite cold for the middle
of next week with lows well into the 20’s and highs only in the mid to upper 30’s.
Next Friday we will have to watch for the potential of
another significant storm that could be either rain or snow depending on the
track.
Then looking toward Thanksgiving Day, we need to watch
closely for the possibility of severe weather the day before Thanksgiving which
is the busiest travel day of the year, and for Thanksgiving itself as a strong
cold front may approach with unusually warm weather ahead of the front. Then behind the front it will get cold again
and a storm could develop for Black Friday.
We will have to wait and see.
Be sure to check back for updates this evening.
