I am getting closer to giving the all clear for next
Wednesday night into Thanksgiving morning, but I am not quite there yet, and if
that one does not happen, the energy that would produce that storm may produce
a much bigger headache for just after Thanksgiving…
First though, it will be nice through Saturday afternoon and
warmer today with highs today reaching around 40, and then dropping to the mid
30’s tomorrow and then the upper 30’s on Saturday.
Late Saturday night into early Sunday there will be a slight
chance of some light rain or light freezing rain that we will need to keep a
close eye on.
Sunday will then be mostly cloudy after the slight chance of
light rain or light freezing rain early in the morning. The temperatures will gradually rise all day
on Sunday and into Sunday night, reaching around 50 late at night.
Sunday night rain will develop and it will become heavy at
times late at night and into Monday morning.
Monday will then have rain in the morning with a chance of
showers in the afternoon. It will be
quite warm on Monday with highs in the low 60’s.
Tuesday we will have a chance of a shower with highs in the
mid 50’s.
Wednesday will then start out mostly sunny but it will be
cooler with highs in the low to mid 40’s.
Clouds will likely increase on Wednesday afternoon.
The question then remains as to whether a disturbance that
will be moving in from the west will cause a coastal storm to develop on
Wednesday night? This has looked less
and less likely over the past two days now, but we are still a long way out in
time, so I am not yet ready to throw this threat out completely as the data had
indicated this potential for quite some time.
It is definitely possible it won’t happen and we will be left with a nice
day on Thanksgiving with highs in the low 40’s.
Hopefully that will be the case.
However, if this storm does not develop into a coast storm,
it is now looking possible that this piece of energy will merge with another
storm that will be approaching from the west a couple of days later. This would have the potential to produce a
much stronger storm for later in the week, possibly starting as early as Black
Friday and potentially continuing through next Sunday. Right now it is much too early to tell
whether this storm would be rain or snow as it would depend on the track of the
storm.
After that potential storm departs, another storm could move
in right behind it. This would leave us
with the potential for unsettled whether from Black Friday through the
following Tuesday. We shall see.
Join me this evening for the latest.
Have a great day!
