Sunday night and Monday is still a tough call…
Tomorrow morning we will have a bit of rain ending by early
afternoon and then clearing late in the day.
The low tomorrow morning will be in the low 50’s with a high tomorrow around
60.
Thursday will start out sunny but clouds will increase in
the afternoon with a chance of a bit of snow flurries/snow showers/light snow
at night. The low on Thursday morning
will be in the mid 30’s and the high will be in the mid 40’s.
Friday morning we will have a chance of a bit of
flurries/snow showers/light snow early in the morning followed by
clearing. There will be little or no
snow accumulation. The low on Friday
morning will be in the upper 20’s to low 30’s and the high will be in the low
40’s.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with lows in the mid to upper
20’s and highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Sunday a low pressure area will start to take shape along
the Gulf Coast. This storm will then
start to track northeast to a point off the coast of New Jersey by Monday
morning. This will cause precipitation
to start in Northern New Jersey Sunday afternoon or evening, continuing through
the night and into Monday morning, and possibly into Monday afternoon or
evening. The exact track of this storm
will determine whether Northern New Jersey gets rain or snow. A track very close to the coast would likely
cause rain as it would allow warm air to filter in off the ocean, while a track
a bit further off the coast would cause snow as this would allow cold air to
filter in to our area during the storm.
So which will it be?
It is still too early to tell as there remains a good deal of
uncertainty in the data. At this moment
the latest information shows the rain/snow line setting up over Northwestern
New Jersey, with areas to the north and west of this line being all or mostly
snow and areas to the south and east of this line being mostly rain. This line could easily shift 50-100 miles in
either direction though, so stay tuned.
Depending on how this storm develops the rain or snow could
end on Monday morning or it could continue into Tuesday morning. We will just have to wait and see.
The low on Sunday morning should be in the mid to upper 20’s
with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Monday the low should be in the low to mid 40’s, with highs
in the mid to upper 30’s.
Tuesday and Wednesday should then be mostly sunny with lows in
the low to mid 20’s and highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Next Thursday and Friday another storm is likely to develop
along the Gulf Coast, then start moving northeast. This will bring us a chance of rain or snow (depending on the track of the storm) next Thursday and Friday, with lows in the upper 20’s to low 30’s
and highs in the low to mid 30’s.
Next weekend should be mostly sunny with lows in the mid to
upper 20’s and highs in the upper 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Monday there will be increasing cloudiness with lows in
the mid to upper 20’s and highs in the low 40’s.
Next Tuesday there will be a chance of rain or snow with
lows in the low to mid 30’s and highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Join me early tomorrow morning for the latest
information.
Have a wonderful evening.
