Monday, January 19, 2015 - Evening Weather Discussion

Things may start to get interesting around here, maybe...

First though, tomorrow should be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry, followed by increasing cloudiness during the day on Wednesday.

Late on Wednesday afternoon light snow is likely to develop and continue into Thursday morning. At the moment the best bet would be around an inch of accumulation.

Friday should then be nice.

Saturday is the big question...

Right now the best bet is that we end up with a mostly sunny day on Saturday and again on Sunday.

BUT... A low is going to form along the Gulf Coast on Friday at the same time that an upper level low will be situated over the Great Lakes.  There is a CHANCE that these two system could merge and become one very intense Nor'easter and threaten our area with heavy snow on Saturday.  Again, that is NOT likely, but it is a possibility that I will be keeping a very close eye on.

Next Monday another storm will likely develop near the Middle Atlantic Coast bringing us a chance of snow.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday should be nice but cold with a chance of snow showers next Thursday.

Next Friday should then be nice, followed by the next chance of snow being the following weekend.
