Monday, January 5, 2015 - Morning Weather Discussion

The warm air never managed to make it here yesterday as the high only reached 48 last evening at my weather station.  It sure did get windy last night though with wind gusts over 30 mph.  Those wind gusts will be bringing in the cold air for the rest of this week…

Tomorrow an Alberta Clipper storm system will approach our area, bringing with it light snow and snow showers starting between around 8am and 9am and ending between about 5pm and 7pm that should accumulate to around an inch. 

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower and highs in the mid 20’s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and very cold with lows in the mid to upper single digits and highs in the upper teens to low 20’s.

Friday morning another weak storm system will approach our area, bringing another chance for some light snow and showers on Friday morning that could accumulate to a dusting to an inch.  The highs on Friday should be in the mid to upper 20’s.

Saturday should be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 20’s.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with highs in the low to mid 30’s.

Next Monday we will have increasing cloudiness with a chance of rain or snow at night as a storm starts to approach from the Southeastern United States.  The highs on Monday should be in the mid 30’s.

Next Tuesday we will have a chance of rain or snow as a coastal storm may develop.  Highs should be in the low to mid 30’s.

Next Wednesday through Friday should be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower each day and highs mainly in the mid 30’s.

Next Saturday should be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.

Next Monday we will have a chance of rain as warm air starts to move back into our area with highs around 40.
