The next CHANCE of significant snow will be the middle of
next week…
This is probably the coldest day of the year today as the
low reached 3 degrees at my weather station this morning and the highs will
have a hard time reaching 20 in many locations.
Tomorrow morning we may get a bit of light snow/snow
showers/flurries with a dusting to a half of an inch of accumulation
possible. The high tomorrow in be in the
low to mid 30’s.
This weekend should then be nice but it will be very cold on
Saturday with lows on Saturday morning in the upper single digits to the low
teens and highs around 20. It will warm
up to more normal levels for Sunday with highs in the low to mid 30’s.
Then next week the cold front will be stalled out just to
out south and east and several low pressure areas may ride along the front next
week. This will bring us a chance of
precipitation from Monday through Thursday but it is still too early to tell
what type of precipitation it would be.
The precipitation could fall as snow, sleet, freezing rain, or rain
depending on where exactly the front sets up.
The best guess at the moment is that the precipitation would be light
anytime from Monday through Wednesday morning, with the chance for heavier precipitation
on Wednesday night and Thursday as a coastal storm MIGHT develop. We will just have to wait and see how this
all works out.
Next Friday through Tuesday should then be nice with high temperatures
gradually warming from the low 30’s next Friday to the mid 40’s next Tuesday.
Next Wednesday we would then have a chance for rain or snow
with a high in the low 40’s.
