It looks as if the cold air is going to win this battle,
keeping the storm to the south tomorrow. This will keep us on the northern edge
of the precipitation. We will still need to keep a close eye out in case it decides to come a bit further
north, but in any event, it looks as if we will be spared the worst of the snow…
The snow should start around midnight and end around mid day
with snowfall totals of a dusting to an inch or two across Northeastern PA,
Southeastern NY, Northern NJ, and New York City, 2-4 inches across Central NJ
and Long Island, and 3-6 inches across Southern NJ.
Wednesday the Alberta Clipper will then approach in the
afternoon, bringing a chance of some light snow in the afternoon and evening
that could accumulate to a dusting to an inch.
Thursday through Saturday morning will then be nice but very
cold with lows dropping again below zero on Friday morning and highs only in
the teens on Thursday and Friday.
Next Saturday night through Sunday morning we will have a
chance of snow as a frontal system will stall nearby and low pressure areas will
ride along it.
Next Tuesday should be nice and then next Wednesday a
coastal storm will threaten us with more snow.
Next Thursday and Friday should then be nice before the next
chance of snow arrives for next Saturday and Sunday.
