Saturday, February 21, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

Pretty much everyone in our entire area should see 3-6 inches of snow tonight, with the lower amounts of 3-4 inches likely in the far northern reaches of our area (Pike County, PA, Orange County, NY, and Northern Sussex County, NJ, and then as you get down towards Trenton, and the highest amounts where 4-6 inches will be likely in Northampton and Southern Monroe Counties in PA, Warren, Hunterdon, Southern Sussex County, Morris, Somerset, Passaic, Union, Essex, Bergen and Hudson Counties in New Jersey, New York City, and Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY.

The snow should come to an end by around sunrise, then it will be warm tomorrow with highs around 40.

Monday will then be much colder and Tuesday morning we may very well have COLD OF HISTORICAL PROPORTIONS, as temperatures will likely drop to the upper to middle single digits below zero in many locations with lows of -15 possible in the coldest locations. Yes, it will likely be the coldest morning yet.

There will then be a slight chance of snow on Wednesday night and Thursday as a storm approaches from the southeast, but it still looks as if there is a high likelihood it will miss us to the south and east.

The next storm to be concerned about will then be next weekend as a coastal storm will develop and threaten us with snow next Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

After that storm passes the next storm to watch will be next Tuesday.

Have a wonderful evening.
