Friday, March 13, 2015 - Evening Weather Discussion

The Polar Vortex will be making a visit toward the middle to end of next week, then a storm moves along the Gulf Coast and turns northward up the coast...

First though, we will have increasing cloudiness tonight as a storm system approaches. It should be rain when the precipitation starts early tomorrow morning in most places but a few places could see a bit of freezing rain or sleet at the start.

Tomorrow will then be a rainy day, followed by a variably cloudy day on Sunday with a slight chance of a rain or snow shower.

Monday should then be nice and relatively warm with highs in the mid to upper 40's.

Monday night and Tuesday morning there will be a chance of some showers as a strong cold front approaches.

Wednesday and Thursday should then be variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a snow shower. Highs may only be in the mid to upper 30's as the Polar Vortex parks itself nearby.

Then Friday clouds will increase as a storm system moves along the Gulf Coast and starts to track northeastward.

Then next weekend we will have a chance of snow as the storm system over the Southeastern United States moves northeastward along the coast.

We will have to see whether this storm system comes far enough northward and close enough to the coast to bring us snow next weekend but right now I am thinking there is a pretty good chance of that happening.

Then early the following week there is a chance of another storm system approaching with another chance for snow.

Please join me early in the morning for the latest information.
