Sunday, March 15, 2015 - Morning Weather Discussion

The threats for snow will not end until at least the end of March.

The latest European model run actually wants to keep the heaviest snow across Virginia with the storm on Friday, while the Canadian model brings a snowstorm to most of New Jersey with the heaviest amounts across Southeastern Pennsylvania, Central New Jersey, and Long Island.

Will it come far enough north to give us snow on Friday?

First though, it will be variably cloudy today with a slight chance of a rain or snow shower and highs around 40.

Tomorrow will be quite nice with highs in the upper 40’s.

Tuesday a strong cold front will approach, bringing a chance of showers in the morning and rain or snow showers in the afternoon. The high on Tuesday will be in the mid 40’s.

Wednesday we will have a chance of a snow shower in the morning as the Polar Vortex approaches Southeastern Canada. It will be cold with lows around 20 and highs only around 30.

Thursday will start out mostly sunny and cold with lows in the mid to upper teens. Clouds will then increase in the afternoon with highs in the upper 30’s.

Thursday night there will be a chance of snow developing as a low pressure area approaches from the southwest.

Friday there will be a chance of rain or snow as there is a possibility that the storm could turn into a bit of a coastal storm. The highs on Friday should be in the mid 30’s.

Saturday and next Sunday we will have variably cloudy skies with highs in the mid 40’s.

Next Monday through Wednesday there will be a chance of rain or snow as one or two storm systems are likely to approach from the west, possibly turning into a coastal storm. The highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s.

Next Thursday should be nice with a high in the upper 40’s.

Next Friday and Saturday there will be another chance for rain or snow as a storm approaches from the west. The highs next Friday and Saturday will be in the mid to upper 30’s.
