First of all, tomorrow is going to be darn nice with highs in the low to mid 50's.
Unfortunately, the warmth will only last one day as it will be cooler on Thursday with highs in the low to mid 40's.
Then Friday a storm system will approach our area from the south at the same time that a cold high pressure area approaches from the north. The warm air will eventually win the battle, however at the start on Friday night and into Saturday morning there is the possibility of some snow, sleet, or freezing rain before it finally changes to rain on Saturday morning.
The storm should finally come to an end by Sunday morning although there will be a chance of a rain or snow shower into Sunday evening.
Monday should then be nice, but then on Tuesday a cold front with an associated low pressure area will approach from the northwest. This storm may re-develop and turn into a Nor'easter once it reaches the East Coast. In fact, it has the potential to turn into a very strong Nor'easter. It SHOULD however develop far enough out to sea to not cause any major problems on Tuesday other than for a chance of some rain or snow showers. I will keep a close eye on it though, just in case.
Then it will cool down with highs mainly in the low 40's the rest of the week with a chance of some snow showers on Thursday.
Then I am very interested in the possibility of a strong Nor'easter developing somewhere near the Middle Atlantic Coast Next Sunday and Monday. Honestly, this pattern looks cold enough that IF a Nor'easter did develop at that time that it would have a good chance to be a major snowstorm. We will just have to wait and see if things continue to look the way they do now and if a storm does actually develop near the coast at that time.
Please check back first thing in the morning for the latest.
