The heat is on the way, but just how warm will it get and
how long will it last? Will it ever
rain?
We will have a beautiful day today with highs around 80.
Tomorrow a warm front will move through, and as has been the
case many times already this spring, what had looked like a potentially rainy
day will end up being dry. The highs tomorrow will warm to the mid 80’s in most
places but only the upper 70’s in the immediate New York City area, as there
will be an ocean influence.
Tuesday looks to be the warmest day of the week right now with
highs around 90 in most places, but only in the low 80’s in the immediate New
York City area as the ocean influence continues. There will be just a slight
chance of a shower or thunderstorm.
Wednesday will be variably cloudy and there will be a chance
of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening as a cold front
starts to approach. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80’s in most places, but
only the upper 70’s again in the New York City area with the ocean influence.
Thursday the cold front will be slowly approaching our area,
bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs ranging from the
upper 70’s to the mid 80’s.
Friday will then be variably cloudy and cooler, with a
chance of showers and thunderstorms as the cold front passes through. Highs
will be in the mid to upper 70’s.
Saturday should be a bit nicer with just a slight chance of
a shower or thunderstorm behind the front and highs in the low to mid 80’s.
Next Sunday through the following Saturday look to be
variably cloudy and cooler, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day,
as the very wet weather that is currently affecting the Central United States
may makes its way into our area, but I will believe that when I see it. Highs should
range from the upper 60’s to the upper 70’s through the period.
