Thursday, April 28, 2016 - Morning Weather Discussion

Lots of rainy and cool weather over the next few days but then warmth isn’t far away…

First of all, yes there was significant snow Monday night through Tuesday night in parts of Northern New York State, Central Vermont, Central New Hampshire, and Southwestern Maine, with over 4 inches reported in many locations. As far as chances for frost, it looks as if our entire area is safe for planting now, BUT there are no guarantees in life. So, please keep in mind that things can change, but right now it does look good for planting.

We will have lots of cool weather with chances for rain this afternoon and tonight, then again tomorrow in the late afternoon and at night. Highs will be mainly in the mid 50’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower and highs should be around 60.

Sunday rain will be likely, especially in the afternoon. Highs will range from the upper 40’s to the mid 50’s.

Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50’s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be variably cloudy with highs around 60.

Next Thursday through Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower each day and highs rising from around 60 next Thursday to the low to mid 60’s next Friday and the mid to upper 60’s next Saturday.

Next Sunday and Monday should then be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s next Sunday and the low to mid 70’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday should be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower and highs mainly in the upper 60’s.
