Monday, October 3, 2016 - Evening Weather Discussion

Matthew likely to interact with the Southeastern U.S. Coast, but how about us?

We will have a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm again tomorrow and then all eyes will turn to Hurricane Matthew.

Matthew is likely to interact with the Southeastern Coast of the United States from Florida through North Carolina, but where will it go then? Right now it appears as if the storm will come close to the coast from Florida through North Carolina, but may not actually make landfall at all, possibly remaining just off shore. I am still thinking that the storm will then head northeast and out to sea, leaving the New York City and Allentown, Pennsylvania areas with only a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front approaches from the west Sunday.

Other than the slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm tomorrow and a chance of a shower or thunderstorm Sunday with the cold frontal passage, things actually look pretty good for the rest of the two-week period. We do however have to watch the track of Matthew closely as the storm could still turn more up the coast and affect our area for the weekend.

Highs will be in the mid 60’s tomorrow, the mid to upper 60’s Wednesday, the low to mid 70’s Thursday and Friday, the upper 60’s to low 70’s Saturday, the mid to upper 60’s Sunday, the low to mid 60’s next Monday, the upper 60’s to low 70’s next Tuesday, the low to mid 70’s next Wednesday, the upper 60’s to low 70’s next Thursday, the mid to upper 60’s next Friday, the upper 60’s to low 70’s next Saturday, and the mid to upper 60’s next Sunday.

Have a wonderful evening!
