Wednesday, October 19, 2016 - Morning Weather Discussion

Record-breaking heat possible again today in some places…

Record-breaking heat will be a possibility again today in some places as highs will reach the mid 70’s to low 80’s in most places. There will be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm this morning as a cold front moves through our area.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 60’s, with some low 70’s possible in parts of Central and Northeastern NJ and NYC.

Friday we will have a chance of showers as a disturbance and cold front approach our area. Highs will range from the mid 60’s to the mid 70’s.

Saturday we will have a chance of rain, ending in the afternoon or evening as a Nor’easter may form near the coast. Highs will be early in the morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 40’s in Northeastern PA, the low 50’s in East Central PA, and Northwestern NJ, the low to mid 50’s in Orange County, NY, the mid to upper 50’s in West Central and Northeastern NJ and Rockland County, NY, the low to mid 60’s in East Central NJ, Westchester and Putnam Counties in NY, NYC, and in Fairfield County, CT, and the mid 60’s on Long Island, and then temperatures will fall through the day.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers at night and into Monday morning as a disturbance moves through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s both days.

Tuesday and next Wednesday then look nice but quite cool with highs in the low to mid 50’s Tuesday and the upper 40’s to low 50’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday there will be a chance of showers with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Friday through Sunday then look mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 60’s next Friday, and the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Saturday and Sunday.

Next Monday we will have a chance of showers as a disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.
