Warm this morning, then cold. As for a White Christmas…
Temperatures will warm to from the mid 40’s in northern sections this morning to the mid to upper 50’s in Central NJ and on Long Island as warm air surges northward into our area ahead of an approaching cold front. The front will then pass through our area and temperatures will fall, reaching from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s along the coast by early evening.
Tomorrow through Wednesday will then be mostly sunny but starting out cold with highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s tomorrow, then rising to the 30’s Tuesday, and the low to mid 40’s Wednesday.
Thursday, we will have increasing cloudiness in the morning with a chance of rain or snow developing in the afternoon as a cold front approaches our area. The best chance for any snow will be in Northeastern PA. Highs will be from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 40’s along the coast and on Long Island.
Friday and Christmas Eve will be variably cloudy with a chance of a Lake Effect snow shower Friday and a slight chance on Christmas Eve. Highs will be mainly from the upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island Friday, and from the upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 40’s along the coast and on Long Island Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day then looks mostly sunny with highs from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.
Next Monday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system approaches from the west. The best chance for snow would be in Northeastern PA. Highs will be from the upper 20’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 30’s along the coast and on Long Island.
Next Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a Lake Effect snow shower. Highs will be from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.
Next Wednesday and Thursday will then be mostly sunny with highs from the upper 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and from the upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ next Thursday.
Next Friday we will have a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.
Next Saturday then looks nice with highs from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ.
