A tropical system is currently developing along the South Carolina Coast and will continue northeastward, heading across Eastern North Carolina tomorrow, and then out to sea. This tropical system will bring us a chance of some showers tomorrow afternoon and evening, especially in Central and Coastal NJ. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.
As for Houston. I really, really, hope that the latest run of the short-range American model that shows Houston getting another 30 inches of rain in the next 60 hours is wrong. If it is right, well, let’s just hope it isn’t, and leave it at that…

Wednesday will then be nice in our area with highs in the 70’s to low 80’s.
Thursday will then be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will range from the upper 60’s to mid 70’s in Northeastern Pa to the mid 80’s in Central NJ.
Friday then looks nice with highs in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.
Saturday, we will have increasing cloudiness with a chance of rain developing in the afternoon and continuing through the night as the remnants of Harvey pass through our area. The rain could be heavy at times. Highs will be in the upper 50’s and 60’s.
Sunday, we will have clearing with highs ranging from the mid to upper 60’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 70’s to low 80’s in Central NJ.
Next Monday then looks nice with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Tuesday through Sunday a hurricane may be approaching Florida or the East of the United States form the Atlantic Ocean. If this storm remains south or east of our area it will be nice with highs in the 70’s next Tuesday, and the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next Wednesday through Sunday. If the storm approaches the East Coast, all bets are off. We will have to wait and see.
Have a wonderful evening and let’s hope for the best in Houston…
