Record-breaking highs possible again tomorrow…

There was record-breaking heat around in parts of our area today with a high of 93 degrees recorded at my weather station in Allamuchy, Warren County, NJ.

Record breaking high temperatures will be possible again tomorrow in parts of our area with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s along the coast and the mid 80’s to low 90’s inland.

Tuesday clouds will increase as Hurricane Maria starts to approach Cape Hatteras, NC. Highs will be in the mid 70’s along the coast and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s inland.

Wednesday will then be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as Hurricane Maria approaches Cape Hatteras, NC and a cold front approaches from the west, pushing Hurricane Maria out to sea. Highs will be in the mid 70’s along the coast and in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s inland.

Thursday and Friday then look nice with highs ranging from the mid 60’s to low 70’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 70’s to low 80’s in Central NJ Thursday, to the mid 60’s to mid 70’s Friday.

Saturday, we will have a chance of showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.

Next Sunday through Tuesday then look nice with highs in the 60’s next Sunday, and the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Monday and Tuesday.

Next Wednesday is looking to be variably cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Next Thursday and Friday then look nice with highs in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Next Saturday may then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

It does appear that a tropical system may develop in the Caribbean Sea and move towards the Gulf of Mexico about 10-14 days from now. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen…

Have a wonderful evening!
