Tuesday, September 12, 2017 - Morning Weather Discussion

Remnants of Irma and then watching Jose…

The remnants of Irma already arrived over our area last evening with some highs clouds moving in to our area and today will remain variably cloudy with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Tomorrow through Friday will continue to be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the remnants of Irma pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s tomorrow, the 70’s to low 80’s Thursday, and the 70’s Friday.

Saturday will then be variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Sunday and Monday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Sunday and the low to mid 70’s along the coast and on Long Island and in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s inland Monday.

Next Tuesday then looks variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front may push through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.

Hurricane Jose will be dancing around off shore early next week but it currently appears that the cold front next Tuesday should push Jose out to sea. If the cold front slows down it could allow Jose to threaten our area with landfall, but at the moment that appears unlikely, leaving us with nice days next Wednesday through Monday with highs in the 70’s next Wednesday, the mid 70’s to mid 80’s next Thursday, and the low to mid 70’s next Friday through Monday.

Have a fantastic day!
