We will have some heavy showers and thunderstorms today as a cold front approaches our area. There could be some localized flash flooding as up to 2.5 inches of rain could fall in some locations. Highs will range from the mid 60’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 70’s in Central NJ.
Tomorrow and Friday will then be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will range from the mid 60’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 70’s in Central NJ tomorrow to the low to mid 60’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 70’s in Central NJ Friday.
Saturday through Monday will then be nice with highs from the low 60’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 60’s to low 70’s in Central NJ Saturday, to the mid 60’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 70’s in Central NJ Sunday, and the low to mid 70’s Monday.
Sunday morning major Hurricane Irma, the strongest hurricane ever in the Atlantic Ocean, will approach Southern Florida. Right now is looks as if Irma will pass just off the coast of Miami, then head towards landfall near Charleston, South Carolina, but Irma could make landfall near Miami first. It is too early to say. Damage will be severe wherever Irma makes landfall.

Tuesday, we will then have increasing cloudiness as the remnants of Irma approach our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.
Next Wednesday we will have a chance for showers or thunderstorms, possibly heavy at times, as the remnants of Irma pass through our area. Highs will range from the upper 50’s to low 60’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 70’s in East Central PA and on Long Island.
Next Thursday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the remnants of Irma depart our area. Highs will range from the upper 50’s to low 60’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 60’s to low 70’s in Central NJ.
Next Friday through Monday then look nice with highs from the upper 60’s to low 70’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 70’s in Central NJ next Friday, to the low to mid 70’s next Saturday and Sunday, and the upper 60’s to low 70’s next Monday and Tuesday.
