Saturday, October 7, 2017 - Morning Weather Discussion

Nate is now a hurricane and the remnants will affect our area…

Nate strengthened to hurricane strength overnight and will make landfall near New Orleans, Louisiana late tonight into early tomorrow morning. Nate’s remnants will then move northeastward, reaching our area Monday and Monday night with some winds and heavy rain.

First though, today will be variably cloudy and warm with highs in the low to mid 70’s along the coast and on Long island and the mid 70’s to mid 80’s inland.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Monday will be variably cloudy and windy with a chance of showers or thunderstorm, especially at night, as the remnants of Hurricane Nate pass through our area. Highs will range from the upper 60’s to low 70’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 70’s to mid 80’s in Central NJ.

Tuesday will then be variably cloudy with highs ranging from the upper 60’s to mid 70’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 80’s in Central NJ.

Wednesday through Friday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm late Wednesday through Friday as a disturbance slowly passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s Wednesday, the mid 50’s to mid 60’s Thursday, and the upper 50’s to mid 60’s Friday.

Next Saturday through Monday then look nice with highs in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s next Saturday, the upper 60’s to low 70’s on Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, and the 70’s elsewhere next Sunday, and the low to mid 70’s on Long Island and in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s elsewhere next Monday.

Next Tuesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as a cold front and disturbance pass through our area. Highs will be in the 60’s.

Next Wednesday through Friday then look nice with highs in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s next Wednesday, the upper 50’s to mid 60’s next Thursday, and the 60’s next Friday.
