Accumulating Snow Tonight for Some of Us?

The latest run of the short-range American model brings up an interesting possibility that more moisture could move further north into our area tonight, after temperatures drop. This would bring the possibility of accumulating snow to parts of Northeastern PA (mainly the higher elevations of the Poconos), Northwestern NJ (mainly the northern half of Sussex County, and Northwestern Passaic County), and into Southeastern New York State (mainly Southern Orange County, far Northwestern Rockland County, and to Western Putnam County). In those areas, there would be the possibility of a coating to as much as 6 inches of snow in the highest elevations. At the moment this remains just a possibility, as it is contingent upon whether this particular model is correct with the precipitation moving further north after the cold air comes in later this evening.
