Sunday, December 3, 2017 - Morning Weather Discussion

Winter is definitely arriving early this year…

Well, winter will definitely arrive early this year as cold air will make its way into our area by Friday and then there will be chances for snow, with a 75% chance of accumulating snow throughout our area sometime between Friday and next Saturday…

Today and tomorrow will be nice with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Tuesday clouds will increase in the morning with rain developing in the late morning or afternoon and continuing through the night as a cold front approaches from the west. It will be warm, with highs in the 50’s to low 60’s as warm air streams into our area from the south, ahead of the cold front.

Wednesday the rain will end early in the morning, followed by clearing, as the cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Thursday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Friday a storm is likely to form along the front that moved through our area Wednesday morning and stalled off the East Coast. This morning it looks as if this storm may form a bit further off the coast than it did last evening, which would keep the best chances for any snow to along the coast and on Long Island, but this is still a long way out and we will have to wait and see. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.

Saturday through next Monday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower each day as a couple of disturbances pass through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s Saturday, the upper 20’s and 30’s next Sunday, and the 30’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday we will have a chance of snow as a disturbance may develop into a Nor’easter off the New Jersey Coast. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.

Next Wednesday through Friday will again be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower each day. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Saturday then looks mostly sunny with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Have a fantastic day!
