Projected Snowfall Amounts Lowered For Many of US, Increased for a Few of Us...

As the storms often do, this storm had some surprises in store for us…

The people of Central North Carolina are going to wake up to the opposite surprise of the people in our area, as Central North Carolina will now get 6-12 inches of snow, but many people in our area will get a bit less than forecast, although some will actually get a little bit more as well…

New projected snowfall amounts in our area:

Coating possible – the eastern three quarters of Long Island

Coating to an inch possible – NYC, Coastal NJ, the western quarter of Long Island, Southern Fairfield County, CT

1-2 inches possible – inland Central NJ, Southern Westchester County, CT, Central Fairfield County, CT

1-3 inches possible – East Central PA, Northeastern NJ, Rockland and Northern Westchester Counties in NY

2-5 inches possible – Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY, and Northern Fairfield County, CT

So, most of us are still getting snow, and some of us will get significant amounts, but Mother Nature once again threw us a surprise at the last minute, and I guess my friend in Central North Carolina will be the big snow winner this time, surprise, surprise, for him and the rest of the people in Central NC.  That was totally unexcepted and not forecast by anyone.  Expect to see some pictures from him this evening…
