Friday, March 16, 2018 - Evening Weather Discussion

Will there be a snowstorm in our area Tuesday and Wednesday?

Tomorrow through Monday will be nice with highs in the upper 30’s and 40’s tomorrow, the 40’s Sunday and the mid 30’s to mid 40’s Monday.

Tuesday, a couple of disturbances will approach the Southeastern United States from the west. The systems will phase and then re-develop off the Virginia Capes Wednesday. It is starting to look likely that a significant snowstorm will occur in parts of the Middle Atlantic area, especially in Eastern West Virginia and Northern Virginia. It is however currently unclear whether this storm will come any further north and affect the Allentown, PA and New York City Metropolitan areas. I will continue to watch this situation closely over the next few days.

This will bring us a chance for rain or snow Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 30’s.

It will then be nice Thursday through Saturday with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s Thursday, and the 40’s next Friday and Saturday.

Next Sunday through Wednesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of showers as a couple of disturbances pass through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s Sunday and Monday, and the mid 40’s to mid 50’s next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Next Thursday then looks nice with highs in the 40’s.

Have a wonderful evening and please join me in the morning for the latest information…
