The storm last night into this morning worked out pretty much as expected, but with a couple of small surprises, mainly a max of 7.5 inches in Highland Lakes, Sussex County, NJ, 11 inches in Newtown, Fairfield County, CT, and 18.3 inches in Southampton, Suffolk County, NY on Long Island. Moving forward, tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of snow showers in the afternoon and evening as a disturbance passes through our area. A coating to an inch of accumulation is possible, but with up to 2 inches possible in Northeastern PA. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Thursday and Friday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s Thursday and the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Friday.
Saturday through Monday will then be nice with highs in the 30’s to low 40’s Saturday, the 40’s Sunday, and the 30’s Monday.
Next Tuesday into Wednesday morning there will be a chance of snow as a couple of disturbances reach the Southeastern United States, then phase and develop into a Nor’easter near the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the 30’s next Tuesday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday and Friday will then be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Thursday and the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Friday.
Next Saturday into Sunday morning there will be a chance of rain or snow as an approaching disturbance may again turn into a Nor’easter near the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Monday will then be nice with highs in the 40’s.
