Saturday, December 29, 2018 - Morning Weather Discussion

A rainy New Year’s Eve and then watching Thursday and Friday…

It has been a tough winter so far for snow lovers (meteorological winter is December through February), so meteorologically speaking, we are a third of the way through winter with our only snow so far actually haven fallen back in Autumn, in November. Will this change any time soon?  I am not so sure…

Today and tomorrow will be variably cloudy with highs today ranging from the mid 30’s to low 40’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 40’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and tomorrow in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

New Year’s Eve there will be rain in the afternoon and evening as a storm system passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s to low 50’s.

New Year’s Day will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower in the morning as the storm system departs our area. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s, then dropping in the afternoon.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Thursday clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Friday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Saturday through Monday will then be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Saturday and Sunday and the 30’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system passes through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Next Thursday will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Friday there will be a chance of rain or snow with highs in the low to mid 30’s.

Have a fantastic day!
