Wednesday, December 26, 2018 - Morning Weather Discussion

Rainy and warm Friday and then an unsettled week ahead…

It will be variably cloudy today and tomorrow, with rain developing late tomorrow night in East Central and Northeastern PA, possibly beginning as a brief period of sleet or freezing rain. Highs today will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s and tomorrow the highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Friday we will have rain, with some clearing likely at night as a disturbance passes through our area. Southerly winds ahead of the disturbance will cause highs to reach the 50’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with highs ranging from the upper 30’s to low 40’s in Northeastern PA to the low 50’s in Central NJ and in NYC.

Sunday will be cloudy with some snow or snow showers possible as a disturbance passes to our south. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

New Year’s Eve clouds will increase with a chance of rain developing at night as a disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

New Year’s Day there will be a chance of rain ending in the morning, followed by clearing, as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Next Wednesday will be variably cloudy with highs in the 30’s.

Next Thursday through Saturday are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower each day as a couple of disturbances pass through our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Thursday, the mid to upper 30’s next Friday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Saturday.

Next Sunday through Tuesday will then be nice with highs in the 30’s next Sunday and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Monday and Tuesday.
