Friday, January 4, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Rain tomorrow, then some light snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain Monday afternoon and night…

Clouds will increase this afternoon with rain developing at night as a storm system approaches our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s.

Tomorrow there will be rain, heavy at times in the morning, with some clearing at night. As a storm system passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Monday clouds will increase with a chance of some light snow developing in the afternoon or evening, then changing to sleet, freezing rain, and rain at night, as a warm front passes through our area. A coating of snowfall accumulation is possible in parts of East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and especially in Northeastern PA, and a light glaze of ice is also possible in some places. Highs will be at night and will range from the upper 20's to low 30's in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40's in Central NJ.

Tuesday any rain, snow, freezing rain, or sleet will end early in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers at night as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Thursday and next Friday will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Thursday and the 30’s next Friday.

Next Saturday clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a storm system may approach from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Next Sunday there will be a chance of rain or snow as the storm system over the Southeastern United States may track northward along the East Coast. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Next Monday through Wednesday will then be nice, but with increasing cloudiness next Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Monday and the 30’s next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Next Thursday there will then be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
