Clouds will increase late in the day today with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Tomorrow a warm front will pass through our area in the morning. This will cause light snow, freezing rain, sleet, and snow to develop very early in the morning in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, changing to rain, with a trace to a coating of snow possible and a light glaze of ice, and rain in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, ending in the morning and then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers at night. Lows will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, with highs ranging from the low to mid 40’s in Northeastern PA, and Fairfield County, CT, to the low to mid 50’s in Central NJ.
Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry in Northeastern PA. It will also be quite windy with gusts of up to 40 mph possible. Highs will range from the low to mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40’s on Long Island.
Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry in the morning. Highs will range from the low to mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
Friday will be mostly sunny with highs ranging from the upper teens to mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in Central NJ.
Saturday clouds will increase in the morning with a chance of snow developing in the afternoon or evening as a disturbance approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.
Sunday there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.
Below is the latest snowfall map from the medium-range American model for Saturday night into Sunday morning. I am NOT forecasting these snowfall amounts. It is far too early to give snowfall guesses, but it does show you the possibilities. Other models show very little or any snow, so we will have to wait and see. Right now this is for entertainment purposes only. This could occur if one weak disturbance dropping down from Canada and through the Great Lakes combines with a stronger disturbance moving through the Southeastern United States. Next Monday through Wednesday will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Monday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Next Thursday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Friday and Saturday will then be nice, but with increasing cloudiness late in the day. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Sunday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Have a fantastic day!
