Saturday, February 23, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Rain and some freezing rain, then STRONG WIND, then cold with some chances for snow…

A strong storm system and strong cold front are approaching our area from the west. This will cause rain to develop tonight, becoming heavy at times overnight and into early tomorrow morning. There could also be some freezing rain in parts of Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT. Highs today will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Tomorrow the rain will end in the morning, followed by variably cloudy skies and a chance of a shower in the afternoon. Rainfall amounts will generally be a half of an inch to an inch throughout our area. It will then become windy in the afternoon and a night with gusts of 55 mph possible. Highs will be in the 50’s.

Monday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower, snow squall, or flurry, as a strong cold front passes through our area. It will also be very windy, with gusts of up to 60 mph possible.  Highs will be in the upper 20’s and 30’s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will then be nice, but cold, with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Tuesday and the 20’s Wednesday.

Thursday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of snow showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Friday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the 30’s.

Next Saturday, March 2nd, there will be a slight chance of snow as a storm may form off the coast of the Southeastern United States and then move northeastward. It is however still uncertain whether the storm will be close enough to bring our area any precipitation. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Sunday, March 3rd, will then be variably cloudy with a chance of snow developing at night as a storm system may develop in the Southeastern United States and then move northeastward, approaching our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Next Monday, March 4th, there will be a chance of snow as a storm system may be passing through our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Tuesday, March 5th, there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.

Next Wednesday, March 6th, through Friday, March 8th, then look nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Wednesday, the low to mid 30’s next Thursday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Friday.

Have a fantastic day!
