Sunday, February 24, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Becoming very windy, then colder, and then unsettled…

The rain will end this morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers. It will become windy this afternoon and tonight with gusts of up to 50 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower, snow squall, or flurry, as a strong cold front passes through our area. It will be very windy with gusts of up to 60 mph possible. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry. Highs will be in the upper 20’s and 30’s.

Wednesday clouds will increase with a chance of light snow or snow showers at night as a weak disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of light snow or snow showers ending in the morning, then a chance of light snow or snow showers developing again at night as once disturbance departs our area and another approaches. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Thursday and the 30’s Friday.

Saturday there will be a chance of rain, possibly starting as a brief period of snow/freezing rain/sleet in parts of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, as a strong disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.

Next Sunday, March 3rd will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry. It will be windy, with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Monday, March 4th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.

Next Tuesday, March 5th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of snow developing at night, as a storm system may develop off the coast of the Southeastern United States and then move northeastward in our direction. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Wednesday, March 6th, there will be a chance of snow as the storm system passes by our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.

Next Thursday, March 7th, through next Saturday, March 9th, will then be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Thursday and Friday and the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Saturday.
