Monday, March 4, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

EXTREMELY COLD morning temperatures tonight through Friday mornings…

The storm worked out much as I had expected as far as location of the snow and general snow amounts, however the higher snow amounts I thought might occur in some parts of our area due to the potential for higher snow ratios did not occur.

Remember, if you have weather related pictures or videos you would like share, send them to edgeweather2@gmail.com, with your name and the town where the video was taken.  I have received a lot of beautiful photos so far this morning and will be posting them a bit later today.

Next up will be the extremely cold morning temperatures, with low temperatures below zero in many inland locations tomorrow morning and again Thursday and Friday mornings, with the potential for low temperatures in the low teens BELOW zero in some inland locations Thursday morning. Remember to leave the water running in any faucets that may be susceptible to freezing before you go to sleep tonight through Friday morning.

The next storm of concern will be Sunday as a disturbance will approach from the west and will run into the cold air that will still be lingering in our area.

After that, it appears that things will warm up the middle of next week, with a chance of rain to end out next week.

Today things will clear out with highs ranging from the mid 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 30’s near the Coast and on Central and Eastern Long Island.

Tomorrow through Friday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry tomorrow night through Friday. It will be quite cold each morning, with lows below zero in many inland locations tomorrow morning and again Thursday and Friday mornings, with lows possibly dropping as low as the low teens below zero in some inland locations Thursday morning. Highs tomorrow will range from the 20’s inland and the low 30’s along the coast ,to the mid teens to mid 20’s Wednesday, the 20’s Thursday, and then warming to the 30’s Friday.

Saturday will then be nice with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Sunday there will be a chance of rain, snow, freezing rain, or sleet as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Monday, March 11th, through next Wednesday, March 13th, will then be nice, but with increasing cloudiness next Wednesday.  High will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Monday, the low to mid 40’s next Tuesday, and the 40’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday, March 14th, through next Sunday, March 17th then look unsettled with a chance of rain each day as a couple of disturbances pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Thursday and Friday, and the 40’s next Saturday and Sunday.

Have a fantastic Day!
