Thursday, March 7, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

A little snow possible in places tomorrow night and a mix possible in some places Sunday morning…

If you zoom in on the photo below and look at the trees in the distance beyond the lake, you will see the ice coated trees, from the ice fog that developed over night, with a low of 4 degrees this morning here in Allamuchy, Warren County, NJ.


Today will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a snow shower or flurry. Highs will range from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Western Long Island.

Tomorrow clouds will increase with a chance of a snow shower or a little light snow developing in the afternoon or evening. A trace to a coating of accumulation is possible. Highs will range from the low to mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40’s in Central NJ.

Saturday will then be nice with highs in the 40’s.

Sunday there will be a chance of snow developing early in the morning in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, and rain or snow developing in East Central PA and Northeastern NJ, and rain elsewhere. The snow will change to sleet and freezing rain and then to rain, with some light snow and ice accumulation possible in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY state, and Fairfield County, CT.  There will then be clearing in the afternoon. Highs will range from the mid to upper 40’s in Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, Fairfield County, CT, and on Long Island, to the upper 50’s to low 60’s in Central NJ.

Monday will then be nice with highs in the 40’s to low 50’s.

Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry early in the morning as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Wednesday will then be nice with highs in the low to mid 40’s.

Next Thursday, March 14th, clouds will increase with a chance of showers developing in the afternoon or at night as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Friday, March 15th, there will be a chance of showers as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 50’s.

Next Saturday March 16th, through next Monday, March 18th, are then looking nice with highs in the 40’s to low 50’s next Saturday, the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Sunday, and the 40’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday, March 19th, will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Next Wednesday, March 20th, will then be nice with highs in the 40’s.
