Latest Short-Range American Model Rainfall Map for This Afternoon and Evening

The latest short-range American model rainfall map shows the potential for very heavy rain across parts of our area, with a maximum of 3.6 inches possible in parts of our area. Anyone that gets anywhere near that much rain in such a short period of time will have some severe flash flooding, so be on the lookout for very heavy rainfall this afternoon and evening across parts of our area.

The heavy rain will fall in very narrow bands as the strong disturbance and then cold front pass through our area. It is not possible to tell exactly where these bands will set up, so please understand that this map is a model output guesstimate as to where these bands might set up, but they could be further north, or further south.

Let's see what happens, but be prepared for the possibility of extremely heavy rain in a very short period of time this afternoon and evening as this disturbance passes through our area.
