Friday, July 12, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Nice through Tuesday, but watching Tropical Storm Barry in the Gulf…

Tropical Storm Barry is approaching Hurricane strength in the Northern Gulf of Mexico and will make landfall along the Louisiana Coast early tomorrow. Barry will bring extremely heavy rain to most of Louisiana, causing severe flooding in many locations. The remnants of Barry will then move northward into the Plains States, prior to heading eastward and passing through our area Thursday….

It will be nice through Tuesday with highs tomorrow in the 80’s, in the upper 70’s and 80’s Sunday, the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Monday, and in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s Tuesday.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a stationary front develops just to the north of our area. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Thursday, showers or thunderstorms will be likely, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry pass through our area. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s.

Next Friday, July 19th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry depart our area. Highs will be in the 80’s.

Next Saturday, July 20th, and next Sunday, July 21st, are then looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 80’s.

Next Monday, July 22nd, through next Thursday, July 25th, are looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to low 90’s next Monday and Tuesday, the 80’s next Wednesday, and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Thursday.
