It will be hot again today with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm this morning, and a chance of a shower or thunderstorm tonight, especially in Northeastern PA, as a disturbance and cold front approach from the west. Highs will range from the upper 80’s to low 90’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 90’s in Central NJ.
Tomorrow clouds will increase with showers or thunderstorms developing in the morning and continuing through the day, as the cold front and disturbance approach from the west. The rain will be heavy at times, with total rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches likely in most of our area, with some locally higher amounts possible, especially in Northeastern PA. Some flooding is likely, especially in Northeastern PA. Highs will range from the low to mid 70’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 80’s in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY, NYC, on Long Island, and in Fairfield County, CT.
Tuesday showers or thunderstorms will end in the morning, followed by clearing, as the disturbance and cold front pass to our east. Highs will be in the 70’s.
Wednesday through next Tuesday, July 28th, are then looking nice with highs gradually rising from the mid 70’s to low 80’s Wednesday, to the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Thursday, the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Friday and Saturday, and the 80’s next Sunday through Tuesday.
Next Wednesday, July 29th, through next Saturday, August 3rd, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day.
