Increasing chances for showers or thunderstorms tomorrow and Saturday and the potential for tropical development in the Northeastern Gulf of Mexico…

Warm and moist air will continue to move northward into our area ahead of an approaching cold front the next few days, bringing increasing chances for showers or thunderstorms tomorrow and Saturday…

There will be some showers and thunderstorms in parts of Eastern PA this evening and then there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms in Eastern PA, NJ, and in Southeastern NY State, and NYC, and a slight chance on Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s tomorrow.

Saturday, showers and thunderstorms will be likely with highs in the low to mid 80’s.

Sunday and Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Sunday and the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday will then be nice with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Tuesday and the 80’s Wednesday.

Meanwhile, there will be the first chance for tropical development in the Northeastern Gulf of Mexico next Wednesday and Thursday as a disturbance may form along a stalled out frontal boundary.

Next Thursday, July 11th and next Friday, July 12th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s Thursday and the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Friday.

Next Saturday, July 13th, through next Monday, July 15th, are then looking nice with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Saturday and the 80’s next Sunday and Monday.

Next Tuesday, July 16th, and next Wednesday, July 17th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 80’s.
